The Northern Cluster of the National Water Company "NWC", represented by the General Directorate of Water Services, Northern Border Region, has completed the implementation of Phase II of the Sanitary Drainage Networks Project in eight districts in Turaif Governorate. It cost more than 116 million Saudi Riyals. This achievement aims to strengthen the environmental services system, increase the coverage rate, improve the operational efficiency of the services in these districts, and eliminate the environmental damage to the population.
The General Directorate of Water Services in Turaif Governorate called on property owners to apply for connection to sanitation services through their digital platforms if they have not yet benefited. The directorate said it has realized about 4,176 sanitation connections that will serve more than 41,000 new beneficiaries.
The company pointed out that the sanitation network project, whose second phase has been completed in Turaif Governorate, will serve the following districts: Al-Worood, Sultana, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Salehiya, Al-Orouba, Al-Rawabi, Al-Khaleej, and Al-Faisaliya.
NWC explained that this phase cost more than 116 million Saudi riyals as it included the construction of networks with a length of 114,610 meters and about 6467 meters of sewage mains. The company stressed that it is concerned with providing services to everybody in a record time and implementing the projects quickly to achieve the Wise Government's goal of improving water and sanitation services to the people.
