NWC Announces Ramadan Season Operational Plan Success Distributing +39.4m3 in Two Holy Mosques

​​The National Water Company “NWC” announced the success of its operational and technical plan to supply and manage water for the Ramadan Season 1446 AH in the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah, by distributing more than 39.4 million cubic meters of water, including 21.2 million cubic meters in Makkah and 18.2 million cubic meters in Madinah, with smart follow-up and monitoring to ensure the highest quality of services for pilgrims, visitors and residents of the two areas.

 
The company explained that the success of its operational plan for the Ramadan season 1446H was achieved because of planning and preparation for this season from an early stage. The aim was to maintain the quality of services provided to residents, God’s visitors, and guests. NWC indicated that the hours of pumping water in the districts served by the water networks reached 21 hours per day, together with continuous pumping 24 hours to the Two Holy Mosques.
 
The company stated that its operational plan included providing strategic and operational storage with a capacity of more than 5.1 million cubic meters, including 2.6 million cubic meters in Makkah and 2.48 million cubic meters in Madinah, in addition to providing manpower, operation and maintenance (O&M) teams equipped with modern equipment and machinery to carry out all field work according to the highest standards, in addition to equipping the filling stations "Ashyab" to ensure continuous water supply during the Ramadan season.
 
NWC has been keen to provide the best services to visitors and pilgrims and to ensure the quality of the water supplied to them through continuous sampling and laboratory analysis in Makkah and Madinah, where more than 49,900 laboratory tests of water were conducted, including 27,000 in Makkah and 22,900  in Madinah, to ensure that the supplied water complies with the specified specifications and standards.
 
The company stressed that this success was achieved through concerted efforts, prior preparation of operational and strategic plans, and in continuation of care of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy and its constant keenness to provide the best services to pilgrims and visitors and to provide all services and means that help them and enable them to perform their rituals and worship with ease and peacefulness.​
