The National Water Company (NWC) announced that it has distributed more than 45 million cubic meters of water to pilgrims in the city of Makkah and holy sites during this year's Hajj season.
The company pointed out that as of 1 Dhul Qa'dah 1446H, the water pumping capacity in the area of the Grand Mosque and the holy sites reached 24 hours per day. NWC also mentioned that more than 33.4 million cubic meters of water was treated and more than 100,000 laboratory tests were conducted during the Hajj season.
The company pointed out that it had not encountered any obstacles in carrying out its work in Makkah and the holy sites. It was able to supply the required quantities of water to the public networks, the toilets and the air conditioning networks for the tents in Mina. It also supplied water to fire extinguishing systems and civil defense tanks.
The NWC emphasized that it has already started preparations for next year's Hajj season (1447H) to ensure the continuity of providing comfort and excellent services to the guests of God and enable them to perform their rituals in peace and serenity.
