The National Water Company (NWC), represented by the Northwest Cluster, has completed a series of development projects in several governorates in Madinah region, with the aim of enhancing the reliability of water supplies, increasing network efficiency, and improving wastewater treatment.

The development work in Yanbu Governorate included the rehabilitation and operation of sewage networks to serve approximately 1,700 beneficiaries. The company also placed a tender to replace the pumps at the main environmental services station with the aim of increasing its operational efficiency from 12,000 to 48,000 m³ per day. The works also included the operation of a main drinking water transmission line to serve districts (C1, C2, and C3), and the Yanbu housing project to serve more than 1,089 customers, in addition to a contract to rehabilitate the main station and the feeder stations for the Al-Ais governorate to increase their operational capacity from 6,000 to 10,000 cubic meters per day.
In the governorates of Khaybar, Badr, and Wadi Al-Far', the drinking water delivery service has changed from intermittent pumping to continuous pumping around the clock, while several reservoirs and filling stations have entered service to support the eastern centers of Al-Hanakiyah Governorate by transporting water in tankers.

NWC has also developed a number of filling stations (Ashiab) in the centers of Qaa Al-Haj, Al-Hajar, Al-Najil, Hasa Al-Dab, and Al-Kubishat in the governorate of Al-Ula. A chlorine system was also installed in Saq reservoirs in cooperation with the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, in addition to the establishment of new networks serving about 800 beneficiaries. The company noted that it continues to improve services, expand coverage, and increase operational efficiency, thereby enhancing quality of life and keeping pace with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
