The National Water Company (NWC) announced its readiness to serve visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, as part of its operational plan for the first Hajj season this year 1446H, where it plans to distribute 615,000 cubic meters of water per day.
The company confirmed the readiness of more than 1,203 of its technical, engineering, and administrative staff to continue the operations to serve the pilgrims in this year's Hajj season, with a continuous pumping rate 24/7 for the Prophet's Mosque, the Central Area, and religious and historical sites.
NWC pointed out that all water networks, reservoirs, and pilgrims' residences are subject to continuous laboratory testing to ensure the quality and safety of water by the work crews in the central laboratory and fully equipped mobile laboratories to test more than 1,077 samples per day.
The company explained that the management and monitoring of flows in the water networks in the central area will be through an intelligent operating system and through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) room, which allows the company's specialists to follow the service in real time and ensure its continuity with high quality.
NWC stressed that it will continue to provide sustainable quality water services that meet the highest standards, achieve its performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to seamlessly serving the guests and visitors of Madinah.
