The National Water Company (NWC) continued its operational works for the water system and maintaining the water supply of Mecca and the holy sites in the service of the pilgrims.
The company said that the water distributed to Makkah, the holy sites, and public facilities in the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Eid al-Adha amounted to 919,365 cubic meters, including water networks, fire-fighting networks, and cooling networks with high operational efficiency.
NWC added that it is working to manage its water and environmental system with the latest smart technologies through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Center with trained national cadres, in addition to the readiness of field technical teams to handle and resolve the incidents and complaints received through the company's official channels.
The company confirmed that its field work to ensure water quality continues. Meanwhile, teams in the field are taking water samples and conducting laboratory tests to ensure water quality and its conformance to approved standards. More than 3900 laboratory test were carried out.
