Which districts are included in the initiative?

Districts that are currently covered:

- King Fahd Suburb districts (District 1, District 2, District 3, and District 6)

- Al Fursan district. 

Is it possible to pay for the connection to the sewer system in installments?

Yes, the connection can be paid in installments through digital channels, with a down payment of SR 200 and a monthly installment of SR 200.

How much is the fee for connection to the sewerage system?

The fee is calculated based on the criteria set out in the Guide for the provision of water and sewerage systems ( e.g. plot area, number of units, etc.)

Will the water supply be disconnected if there is no connection to the wastewater network or the discharge outlet is not indicated?

According to the water and wastewater Provision Guide, the customer is obliged to connect to the wastewater network and show the discharge outlet. He has 30 days to connect to the sewer network before the water connection is turned off.

What happens if an application is submitted and the fee is not paid?

The customer is required to connect to the sewerage network, and the water service will be disconnected if the fee is not paid. Note that the fee payment period is 90 days.

What is the deadline for payment of the fees?

90 days from the date of issue of the fee notice.

How is the wastewater consumption calculated in my monthly property bill if I have access to a water connection?

The wastewater consumption is 50% of the water consumption and will be shown on your monthly bill.

How is the wastewater consumption calculated in my monthly property bill if I do not have access to a water connection?

Wastewater usage is calculated at the financial equivalent of the instance as explained in the Water and Sanitation Services Provision Guide.

What happens if the monthly installments of the sewer connection fees are not paid?

The monthly installment will be added to the monthly consumption bill. In the event of non-payment, the water connection will be disconnected in accordance with National Water Company policy.

What requirements must be met?

If there is water service, there are no requirements to apply for a sewer connection service. However, if there are any deficiencies in the customer's data or application, it will be returned to the customer to attach the supporting documents (title deed, building license, etc...) to be completed afterward.

How can I make an application if my property is an apartment in a residential building?

The chairman of the community of owners or one of the owners within the residential building can apply for the service.

Does the deed to my property have to be electronic and up to date?

In the case of benefiting from the water supply, there are no requirements for applying for a sewer connection. If data is missing from the application, the deed copy can be attached by Digital channels​.

Can I benefit from the installment payment initiative for the sewer connection if I have an existing consumption installment contract?

Yes, you can.

How long does it take to connect the service after I pay the fees?

Service will be provided within 15 business days from the payment date.

How long does it take for the sewer connection fee to be issued after the application is submitted?

Fees are issued within 10 days from the date of application (if there are no deficiencies in the application data).

What are the channels through which installments can be paid?

Digital channels or through the SADAD service.

What are the customer categories who can use the installment service for sewer connection fees?
