NWC announces its operational and technical plan success in Ramadan

​The National Water Company (NWC) announced the success of its operational and technical plan to supply and manage water for the Ramadan season for the year 1445H in Makkah and Madinah. NWC distributed more than 40.20 million cubic meters, including 22 million cubic meters in Makkah and 18.2 million cubic meters in Madinah.

 
The company announced the success of its operational plan for the Ramadan season 1445H, which was the result of early planning and preparation for this season. The aim was to maintain the level and quality of services provided to residents, visitors and guests of God. The hours of pumping water in the districts served by water networks reached 21 hours per day and 24 hours continuous pumping to the Two Holy Mosques with smart monitoring and follow-up that ensures the provision of the best services to residents, visitors, and Guests of God.
 
NWC stated that it prepared early to implement its operational and technical plan. This included providing strategic and operational storage with a capacity of more than 5.7 million cubic meters, including 3 million cubic meters for Makkah and 2.7 million cubic meters for Madinah. It equipped workforce and operation and maintenance teams with modern equipment and machinery to carry out all fieldwork according to the highest standards, and equipping "Ashyab" the filling stations to ensure continuous water supply during the Ramadan season.
 
The company explained that it has been working continuously to collect water samples and analyze them in laboratories in Makkah and Madinah in order to provide the best services to visitors and pilgrims and to ensure the quality of the water provided to them. More than 46,000 laboratory tests of water were conducted, including 30,000 in Makkah and 16,500 in Madinah, to ensure the safety of the water provided to the guests of God.
The NWC stressed that this success came through concerted efforts and prior preparation of operational and strategic plans, in continuation of the constant keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God Protect him, to provide all best services to pilgrims and visitors of the Grand Mosque, in order to help them say their prayers and conduct their rituals with ease.
