The National Water Company (NWC) revealed that it distributed more than 7.2 million cubic meters of water in Makkah during the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, with a pumping rate of more than 720,000 cubic meters per day.

The company indicated that the amount of strategic and operational water storage during the holy month of Ramadan in Makkah is estimated at more than 3 million cubic meters, to ensure the best services for visitors and God's Guests.

The company explained that it continues its operations and water supply to the Holy Mosque and the central area with continuous pumping of water around the clock. Additionally, NWC pumps water continuously to all the districts of Makkah served by the water network at pumping hours of up to 21 hours per day.  Moreover, the company prepared filling stations (Ashyab) that allow customers to obtain tankers through the company's e-channels.

The company showed that its field teams for operation and maintenance are present in the field and ready to handle emergencies and notifications during the holy month of Ramadan 24 hours a day. NWC continues its fieldwork to ensure water quality by sampling water and conducting laboratory tests continuously. More than 1000 laboratory tests are performed daily to ensure water quality and conformity with the required specifications and standards to ensure the best service for God's Guests, residents, and visitors of Makkah.

Regarding the company's operational work on the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Zamzam Water Project, the company stated that the amount of strategic storage of Zamzam water amounted to more than 2.2 million bottles in the warehouses of the project. The company provides the bottles to the authorized contractors at a unified price in their branches in all cities of the Kingdom. It ensures the availability of quantities prepared for air shipment at distribution points in the airports from which Umrah pilgrims and visitors leave after performing Umrah rituals.  NWC stressed the continuity of its operational plan with a maximum production capacity of 200,000 bottles to meet the increasing demand for the blessed water during the Ramadan season.
