The National Water Company (NWC), through its Northwest Cluster, announced the success of its operational plan during the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in the Prophet's Mosque, Central Area, and Religious Shrines in Madinah. The quantities pumped for the city during this period amounted to more than 5,900,000 cubic meters of water.

The company explained that the pumping into the Central Area, the Prophet's Mosque and the religious shrines is continuous and round-the-clock, and that the water networks are managed by intelligent operating systems. This enables real-time flow management and quality control within 8 areas in Madinah that are managed through smart operations, enhancing the company's ability to provide high levels of service and reliability.

NWC said, "The distribution of water in Madinah during these holy days will be continuously monitored and the necessary laboratory tests will be carried out immediately to determine the quality of the water distributed in the network".  The company explained that water in petrol stations, hotels and mosques, in addition to the networks; are subject to continuous tests to verify the level of quality and compliance with standards, as the number of tests during the first ten days of Ramadan amounted to about 5500 tests.

NWC pointed out that more than 1,200 employees work around the clock through 42 emergency field teams to respond to customer requests regarding network leaks or water interruptions, and to provide the necessary and rapid support to ensure the continuity and quality of service in accordance with approved standards and specifications.

The company stressed that this achievement comes as a continuation of the support and guidance provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah protect him, to implement everything that would achieve the comfort of visitors. NWC pointed out that it continues to develop works and expand coverage rates in order to ensure the provision of water and environmental services at the highest levels.
