This accomplishment is done in liaison with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation "SWCC" to enhance desalinated water supply during the season.

Engr. Abdullah Al-Amri, Senior General Manager, SC, NWC, stressed that the Cluster succeeded in managing the summer season of  the four regions this year. SC relied on early devised operational plan. He confirmed that it contributed to boosting water resources in the Cluster.  Al-Amri pointed out that more than 29 million cubic meters of water were distributed in Assir Region, more than 11 million cubic meters were distributed in Al-Baha Region, more than 28 million cubic meters were distributed in Jazan region, and more than 8 million cubic meters were distributed in Najran Region in the third quarter of this year.

Al-Amri said "The summer season plan of the Southern Cluster relied on three main elements: namely determining the amount of water required for the summer season, scheduling its distribution to all four cities and regions according to the expected population density, and distributing the field teams to different locations in maintenance areas scattered around the cities and regions according to a dedicated schedule". He indicated that the third element was to focus on the actual operation of the main lines and branching networks, monitoring water pressures inn them, as well as tanks levels, the readiness of maintenance teams, rapid intervention and continuous contact with operation rooms to ensure stability of all the operational processes.   SGM, SC, pointed out that the average pumping and distribution of water during the third quarter exceeded 800,000 cubic meters per day in Assir, Jazan, Al-Baha and Najran in total.

Al-Amari appreciated the support and follow-up of the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture "MEWA" and the CEO of the National Water Company and their keenness to provide water in sufficient quantities to keep pace with the demand for it in such seasons, and to provide the best services to the company's customers in the Southern Cluster.

He noted that the water customer and beneficiary are the company's strategic partners in achieving water savings by managing water use optimally.
