NWC, WC, distributes 300M+ m3 of water in Makkah summer

The Western Cluster "WC" of the National Water Company "NWC" stated that it distributed more than 300 million cubic meters of water from June to August 2021 at Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif, in addition to the governorates of Makkah. The company confirmed its success in managing the summer season of 2021, achieving positive parameters of preplanning of operational performance in the region, and continuous coordination with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation "SWCC" to increase water quantities, especially at peak times.  The average continuous pumping hours during the summer period was 22 hours per day. 

 

NWC indicated that in the past three months, it distributed and pumped more than 218 million cubic meters of water in Jeddah Governorate, more than 50 million cubic meters in Makkah city, and more than 22 million cubic meters in Taif Governorate. In the governorates of Makkah, the company distributed more than 10 million cubic meters. Strategic storage in the Western Cluster amounted to more than 4.7 million cubic meters.

 

The company noted that during plan implementation, it prioritized allocation of operation and maintenance teams equipped with modern machineries and equipment to manage emergencies and technical malfunctions. NWC equipped water filling stations at different locations in the region with their supplies, responded quickly to received complaints, and provided its services with quality and speed.
