NWC begins operation of water networks in six villages of Sabya serving 19,000+ beneficiaries

The National Water Company "NWC" announced operation starting of water networks in six villages at Sabya Governorate, to serve more than 19,000 beneficiaries of Jazan Region. NWC indicated that these efforts are part of its programs and plans aimed at meeting water demand, expanding coverage areas, increasing operational efficiency, and upgrading its services to its customers in villages and governorates of the region.

The company elaborated that the villages benefiting from the operation of the networks in Sabya Governorate are Al-Hussaini, Jakhira, Hellat Al-Ahwas, Al-Jar Al-Asfal, Al-Mehalla, and Ghuan.  

 

For his part, Engineer Bandar Nasser Jabr, General Manager, Water Business Unit, Jazan Region, confirmed that water networks at lengths of 66 km were implemented, as well as the implementation of 1,580 household connections, and 4 tanks with a capacity of 800 m3, to serve more than 19,000 beneficiaries with water amounts of up to 2,850 m3 per day. Engineer Bandar pointed out that the number of hours of daily pumping reaches 14 hours per day, in order to raise water coverage percentages and improve operational efficiency.

 

The General Manager, Water Business Unit, Jazan Region, invited the beneficiaries whose meters were installed to visit NWC e-branch to update their data, and request activation of the service. He noted that beneficiaries of water services in the villages covered by water networks could apply for a new household connection through the digital channels of the National Water Company.
