NWC and PMI conclude MOU to cooperate, transfer, and localize professional knowledge

Under the auspices of Engr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsin Al Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, "MEWA" and Engr. Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Mowkely, CEO of the National Water Company "NWC", the company concluded with the Institute of Project Management "PMI", a memorandum of understanding "MOU" for cooperation, transfer and localization of knowledge, and exchange of experience in the field of project management. 

On Tuesday, August 31, 2021, the was signed at MEWA premises, Engr. Mansour bin Mohammed Abuthnain, NWC, VP, Projects, Technical Services, and Operational Support represented NWC. Engr. Bader bou Rashid, President, PMI Saudi Chapter, in the presence of senior employees of the National Water Company and PMI Institute.     

Engineer Mansour Abuthnain noted that the memorandum of understanding comes as one of the initiatives adopted by the company aiming to apply the best international practices in project management, as this agreement will contribute to raising the level of knowledge and qualify the NWC staff of projects and technical services in various Saudi regions.  It will be done through holding some specialized courses  that qualify them to obtain accredited professional certificates  in project management and construction industry. This will be reflected in the completion of the company's projects according to scheduled plans, the required quality, and in accordance with the approved standards.     

Eng. Abutheen also pointed out that this memorandum strengthens the relations of cooperation between the two parties to achieve a fruitful strategic partnership by developing a framework for joint action, and finding ways of cooperation now and in the future in various scientific and practical fields, in order to share experiences and benefit from studies and research to improve institutional professional work. The MOU  will play an active role in linking the company's project managers to professional development channels at the local and global level, based on the Institute's global expertise and methodologies that have proven effective over the past decades.
