Gazan Water” pumps water to 8,000 beneficiaries at 39 villages of Al-Humaira Center

The National Water \company "NWC", represented by the General Department of Water Services, Gazan Region, started operation of water networks at 39 villages, Al-Humaira Center, Al-Ared Governorate.

 

Eng. Bandar bin Nasser Jabr, General Manager of Water Services, Jazan Region, noted that operation of the networks come as part of the department's keenness to expand coverage with water services, coping with the increasing demand for water services, upgrading provided service quality, raise operational efficiency in water transport and distribution, improving operational performance, and meeting the expectations of the wise government of  upgrading the water services provided to beneficiaries.

 

Eng. Jabr indicated that total implemented water networks and lines is 130 kilometers long, in addition to implementation of some 830 household connections and two water tanks of 4100 m3 total capacity that will provide water to more than 8,000 beneficiaries by pumping 2500+ m3 per day at 12-hour pumping service. This will expand water coverage, improve operational efficiency, and dispense with 800 trips of water tanker trucks monthly.
