National Water Company "NWC" received ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management Systems "BCMS" certification from Lloyd's Register in the field of business continuity. NWC emphasized that it received this certificate after meeting the necessary criteria: Identifying risks to ensure business continuity, establishing appropriate rules to manage them, applying a preventive approach to minimize the impact of incidents, ensuring the continuation of core business in times of crisis and reducing disruptions to a minimum in situations, and protecting staff and corporate image.
The company said, "We have implemented ISO 22301:2019 and adopted a proactive approach to combating incidents that lead to business disruption, which will have a significant impact on enhancing the confidence of the company's customers locally and globally".
NWC explained that ISO 22301, issued by the International Organization for Standards "ISO", is the key framework for building organizational resilience and helps identify risks to the business and the impact of those risks on operations and services. The company pointed out that the standard enables service companies to identify the methods required for business continuity, including the creation of plans and implementation and operational methods that mitigate risks, as well as the definition of the strategy to prevent incidents that disrupt business operations and services.
