Water networks operated for six villages in Bish governorate

The National Water Company (NWC) began operation of water networks in the villages of Al-Gharif, Al-Hadn, Cairo, Hilla Bin Shadid, Bish Al-Olya and Al-Khubtah in Bish Governorate, Jazan region. The operation of such networks came in response to increasing demand on water services as part of NWC's efforts to enhance the water sources system and improve water and environmental services infrastructure.

Eng Bandar Jabr, Director General of Water Services in Jazan, said that the company laid 68 km of water pipelines, installed 450 house connections and built a 3,000 m3 underground tank.

The system would serve more than 7,000 customers and pump some 2,100 m3 of water 12 hours per day – the goal is to increase water services coverage and improve operational efficiency, Jabr added.

The Director General encouraged all beneficiaries in Jazan region with installed meters to use NWC's application for smart phones to update their information. Additionally, customers who have not yet received the service could request a new house connection easily and quickly via NWC's official app.
