Represented by the Western Cluster, the National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of the South Jeddah water projects through the implementation of three capital projects for the water sector. These projects include a network exceeding 250,000 meters and main lines exceeding 16,500 meters, at a cost of more than 152 million Saudi Riyals.
The company indicated that the projects included water networks and main transmission lines to serve the Al-Qurainiyah and Al-Khomra districts. These projects aim to raise the operational efficiency of the water sector, improve infrastructure services in the governorate, and connect services to over 322,000 people.
NWC explained that these implemented projects are an extension of the water services system projects in Jeddah South previously completed at the Al-Ajwaid East and West, Prince Fawaz Housing, Al-Alfiyah 1 and 2, Al-Huda, Al-Faisal, and Al-Fadhila districts. These projects included water networks and main transmission lines, as well as the construction of a 95,000-cubic-meter-per-day pumping station to support and enhance operations and increase the efficiency of water services.
The company noted that it has begun accepting requests for service from residents of the targeted districts (Al-Qurainiyah and Al-Khomra). Requests can be submitted through the electronic branchand inquiries can be directed to the unified number (8004411110) or through its digital channels. NWC noted the need to ensure that all required documents and data are attached to complete the request.
The company confirmed that the implemented projects would contribute to water conservation and increase coverage rates for unserved districts as part of its strategic plan to implement infrastructure projects and to march progressively towards sustainability and quality of life in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
