NWC embarks on implementing 23 projects in Madinah at SR 814+ million

​The National Water Company (NWC)'s Northwest Cluster announced the start of 23 water and environmental projects in various locations in Madinah at more than 814 million Saudi Riyals. The projects aim to increase service coverage, raise operational efficiency, and improve customer service.

The company explained that the projects include 15 water projects to provide water services to beneficiaries in various districts in Madinah, including Shuran, Al Matar, Al-Iskan, Mahzour, Hamra Al Assad, Al-Shafiya, Al-Ghaba, Al-Katana, Al-Mahamid, East Madinah, Al-Aqoul, Al-Sakab, Al-Shahabaa, Warqan, and Al-Nablaa. Districts. These projects entail lines and networks exceeding 726 kilometers at a cost of over 454.6 million Saudi Riyals. Additionally, NWC started implementing four other water projects to serve beneficiaries in different villages and districts in the Al Hanakiyah, Al Eis, and Badr governorates. These projects include lines and networks with a total length of approximately 223 kilometers and a total cost of over 117.7 million Saudi Riyals.
The company stated that the environmental projects initiated in the Madinah region included eight projects for delivering sewage services. Four of these projects will serve beneficiaries in different districts in Madinah, including Al-Nabala, Al Rawabi, Al Matar, Qurban, Al Sih, Al Aziziyah, Shuran, Al Ranuna, Al Salam, Ain Al Khayf, Al Khalidiyah, Al Ayoun, Al Miqat, Al Jarf, Al Nakheel, Bir Osman, Al Nadwa, Al Wabra, Al Sharibat, Al Anabasin, Al Suqayyah, Al Dhahira, and Al Barmawiya districts. These projects include lines and networks with lengths of approximately 98 kilometers at a total cost of over 157.8 million Saudi Riyals. NWC announced that it has begun implementing four additional environmental projects in the governorates of A Ula, Badr, and Yanbu governorates. These projects include the construction of sewage lines and networks spanning over 54 kilometers, with a total cost exceeding 84.6 million Saudi Riyals.
This new package of projects is a continuation of the nine projects announced in May 2024 in Madinah, which cost about 500 million Saudi Riyals.
The company stressed that these projects are part of its plans to enhance the water distribution system, eliminate environmental damage, increase service coverage, and improve operational efficiency according to the highest quality and performance standards to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.​
