
In the presence of HE Eng. Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Hussain, Minister of MOWE, the Chairman of the NWC BoD, National Water Company celebrated over 400 employees tribute ceremony working at the company and other official entities that contributed in handling the breaks of water pipelines feeding Riyadh which recently took place. This ceremony was set up to recognize and appraise the above-mentioned employee' outstanding efforts after the mission was completed in record time, where the 1st group of NWC and other 100 employees, were appraised in the presence of members of NWC BoD and entities involved for their support to handle water supply shortage for Riyadh; the venue was at NWC headquarters in Riyadh.
During the ceremony, HE Eng. Abdullah Al-Hussain expressed his thanks and appreciation to all who contributed in the repairing the breaks of water lines that feed Riyadh from the east coast, and commended the successful procedures and solutions put down to mitigate all resulting effects and re-normalize water supply to Riyadh in a short period. Moreover, HE praised the support furnished by HRH Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz AL Saud, the Deputy Governor of Riyadh region, as well as all those concerned in NWC, SWCC and the togetherness of the efforts of joint work teams of Riyadh Municipality, Security Patrols Dept., Riyadh Region Security Dept. and the Department of Mujahideen. It should be mentioned that the joint efforts help in the mitigation of damages after Riyadh city suffered shortage in water supply to (40%) due to fractures, and re-normalize water supply to Riyadh in record time.
On Sunday, October 2, 2011, The second group of 300 NWC employees were the focus of the tribute ceremony in the presence of Mr. Loay Al-Musallam, NWC CEO, at the headquarters in Riyadh. During the ceremony, Mr. Al-Musallam expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed in repairing the fractures and water shortage problems that hit Riyadh, alluded the support of HRH Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz AL Saud, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region, as well as the tracking of HE the Minister of MOWE, and board members. Mr. Al-Musallam also expressed his thanks to those concerned of SWCC for their outstanding efforts in dealing with the above-mentioned problem, Riyadh Municipality for their efforts and contribution in supporting the company's plans, Security Patrols Dept. for its support in organizing and facilitating the traffic in the filling stations (Al-Ashiab), Riyadh Region Security Dept. for its contribution in facilitating the tanks movement inside Riyadh around-the-clock, and finally the Department of the Mujahideen for its role in securing sites of water lines fractures and filling stations.
It is worth mentioning that many private sectors enjoyed tribute celebrations of the same status during the same period for its role in supporting NWC' plans, such as Zaid Al-Hussein Est., Bin Sammar Est., Suliman Al-Enizi Est, Qimat Al-Sidra Est., Bin Mirdhy Est. and Kunooz Est.
