NWC Wins World Best Public Water Agency Award in 2012

​The National Water Company has recorded a global achievement by coming in the second place in the Best Public Water Agency in 2012, at the World Water Congress, which was held in Rome on Monday, April 30, 2012, during World Water Congress organized by (Global Water Intelligence).
 
The CEO of National Water Company, Loay Al-Musallam, pointed out that the international recognition of the company's excellent performance in the implementation and development of water and sanitation projects is registered by the name of kingdom in a major global forums. This came after the royal directives in developing and accelerating of the vital projects, and the support of HE Minister of Water and Electricity, Chairman of the National Water Company and members of the Board of Directors.
 
It is worth mentioning that NWC has won the award  after its superiority over (200) a global companies that bid to the award according to multiple standards , where the preference came for four companies;  National Water Company,  Australian  SA  Co., Korean Water Resources Co, and Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Co.
 
The most important achievements of NWC for the last year which qualified it to achieve this award is, the launch of the sewage system in Jeddah, which included connecting (132) home connections for (2500)kilometers of main lines and sub-drainage systems.
 
In addition to operate and raise the absorptive capacity for a number of wastewater treatment plants, in Jeddah at a cost of more than SR 2.2 billion. 
 
The award was received from the National Water Company by Eng. Abdullah Al-Hagbani, Executive Director of Projects, and Khalid Al Al-Museibih, Executive Director of Public Relations, and Muntather Muhalil, Executive Director for Strategic Planning & Performance Measurement.  The ward was handed over by the guest of honor, Mr. Craig Venter, President  of Craig Venter Group, which is interested in studying the challenges facing the world, including water and food.
