​After the balanced budget of Saudi Arabia for the year 1434H (2013) was announced, Dr. Loay Al Musallam, the CEO of NWC said that the budget of the fiscal year 2013 - which included the allocation of funds to purposeful projects – resemble the prospective of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HH the Crown Prince, may Allah  preserve them, as it depends on long-term developmental strategies set forth for maximize all gains, strengthening the infrastructure and services and bringing spending to reality in favor of the development of both the country and its citizens.
“The figures representing the budget bear senses of prosperity, embody the stability of our esteemed country’s economy and growth and put more  responsibilities to all economic businesses in order to achieve further progress and prosperity and to motivate the production by technical and vocational activities, Dr. Al Musallam said .
Dr. Al Musallam added that the features of the balanced budget revealed new stimuli that necessity the better investment of the big support and allocations through implementation of the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah protect him, as HRH emphasizes at every occasions on taking over the great responsibility on the shoulders of all various sectors and strain every nerve to complete projects according to scheduled timetables precisely and in good quality, especially because the huge returns of the budget are further support furnished by the government to develop the country to reach very high standards and enjoying the sophisticated prosperity.
“In light of this huge developmental strategy, NWC is well aware of its role - as an inseparable part of this country - to activate the economic development as it worked hard to serving water and environmental treatment sectors which is reflected by making unprecedented achievements this year by establishing and developing the infrastructure of water and wastewater sectors and setting out high- advanced systems for serving citizens and residents. The company also was commended and appreciated by international, regional and local entities for its achievements such as reaping the second best-in-class water utility award in the world for the year 2012, and bagging 11 awards, the most recently was “Gulf Excellence” in the field of replacement and Saudization on the business- level of GCC countries after Saudization come up to ( 98%). NWC was successful to reduce the delayed projects from (104) projects to only (5) projects in 2012, and developed and set up several treatment plants in many cities until we end up with concluding several agreements for the sale of (500) thousand cubic meters of treated water,” Dr. Al Mussallam also added.
Dr. Al Musallam pointed out that the level of excellence that NWC proud thereof  was reached only after it got the attention and support of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the operation in stimulating environment that requires it to work hard to meet the national duty and carry out its social responsibilities; wishing to keep up with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ directives towards making further achievements to serve our country.
The CEO of NWC concluded his speech by saying: “As we move toward implementing the company’s strategy, NWC is eager to the provision of best international standards, attaining environmental sustainability, completing water and environmental treatment systems as well as implementing all infrastructure projects and adopting new internationally-known technologies.
