In line with the  NWC Strategy to become a world class water utility encompassing  the attributes of Operational excellence, customer satisfaction,  resource sustainability and financial viability among others, and  with the aim of achieving these attributes & thereby move towards its strategic intention, the NWC management has formed the new Business Development Department in May 2010.

The focus of the department will relate to developing the sale and productive usage of the Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) as a viable product to achieve the multiple aims of Resource sustainability, efficiency of operations and financial viability. The departmental focus will also envisage potential public participation in such ventures so as to achieve the optimum results.

 In addition, the department will also look into other initiatives which will help NWC achieve a more balanced growth, by concentrating on customer satisfaction & efficiency of operations by developing new revenue streams for National Water Company so as to enable it to become a viable financial entity in the long term.
